Letters to July – Twenty-Seventh

I’m going to try and blog every day during July as part of Letters to July. It’s probably a bad idea.
Dear July,
Here’s a look behind the curtain, July. Though I am writing these blogs in the present tense, I am not always doing it on the day in question. Sometimes I am retroactively writing in the present tense. Once or twice, I’ve written several days worth of posts at a time.
I’ve tried not to write too many of the blogs this way. It’s much easier to reflect like this when you’re still in the midst of the thing. But some days though, business and headaches and exhaustion and the overwhelming desire to just watch TV win out. Except I’ve still written them all. I’ve written a blog for every single day.
We’re almost there, July. Our time together is almost over. There’s hardly any of these blogs left to write and I feel less relief and more sadness about that than I expected.
